The highest vantage point along the Sauwald Panorama Road promises lofty heights and magnificent views. At the Panoramablick Untergriesbach at the entrance to Vichtenstein, you can enjoy views of the river and hilly landscape north of the Danube at over 600 metres above sea level. As the Danube still forms the national border for around 20 kilometres from the three-river town of Passau, you can look directly from Austria to Germany - or more precisely to the Lower Bavarian cultural landscape and the resort of Untergriesbach.
