Trail running is running at your own pace, where you can easily discover a new area and new running routes. It's about being active in nature and it doesn't necessarily always have to be in the mountains. Running at lower altitudes such as the Danube region is ideal, especially for pre-season preparation or for beginners! Each stage on the Donausteig takes us further away from the stress of everyday life as we approach our training goal step by step.

The Danube Valley offers ideal conditions for training when the weather in the mountains is not yet favourable. When exploring the trails along the Danube, every runner's heart automatically beats faster: breathtaking views, a marvellous landscape, challenging uphill and downhill routes. Here you can improve your technique and endurance in equal measure.
To relax your feet, take a break on the long pebble beach right in front of the hotel.
