Above the Danube valley lies the highest elevated place of worship of the Innviertel region. It was constructed between the years 1905 and 1906 by the local community. The hard work and of the people are unimaginable today. The massive granite blocks were extracted by hand and also the bricks were formed by hand. Since 1928 Stadl is a branch of Engelhartszell. Every year on 15th of August the crucifix procession from Stadl to the “Jagabild” takes place. The path is lined with 14 artistically designed crucifix stations, which display reverse glass paintings.
