Today, the Baumgartner brewery is one of the largest medium-sized and most successful brewing companies in Austria that has managed to retain its independence. The foundation of the brewery's parent company within the city walls of Schärding dates back to 1609. Since then, the company has been family-owned. This fact also guarantees the high degree of independence of the traditional company, which enables us to go our own way. We owe this freedom - after more than 400 years of family ownership - to our incorporation into the "Gemeinnützige Baumgartner-Spanlang-Stiftung".

Baumgartner Bier's close ties to the region are reflected in particular in its almost nationwide presence in the catering trade in the baroque town of Schärding and the surrounding area. In addition, all employees come from the region, making the Baumgartner brewery an important regional employer.

By investing in state-of-the-art equipment, first-class raw materials from the region and fully automated process control with permanent monitoring of all quality parameters, the Baumgartner brewery is a guarantee for the best beer quality, which is impressively underpinned by countless awards.

Märzen, Zwickl, Export and Weisse hell are not only bottled, but are also the classic Baumgartner draught beers for the catering trade. The multi-award-winning Pilsner also pampers the senses of guests fresh from the barrel. The Zwickl dunkel and the Weisse dunkel are Baumgartner's strong flavour beauties, with balanced roasted and caramel aromas. In spring, the Junghopfenpils enchants the senses of beer connoisseurs. When autumn begins, many are already waiting for the chestnut-brown autumn beer with its wonderfully pronounced malt aroma. The range is complemented by the excellently drinkable Gartenradler with a lemon-lime flavour and the Baunti.
