Compositional transfer inbodied I ANTON

On the way to the Bruckner Orchestra Linz's festive concert, you will experience a dance performance developed by choreographer and dancer Silke Grabinger and her ensemble. Bruckner's music moves and becomes audible through the body.

This piece approaches Anton Bruckner's 9th Symphony and the associated conflict between the art of being an infinite space of possibility on the one hand and a finite work on the other. To this end, a transfer method was developed with the help of which musical structures can be brought from the time filled with sounds into the space filled with movement. This performance therefore does not merely dance to the music or its mood, but rather repeats its forms in the physical realm in order to be able to read Bruckner himself in the body. This ultimately attempts to dance with Anton beyond the unfinished end by means of the resulting movements.
